300 Falcons descend on Mount Panorama

Over 300 iconic Ford Falcons descended on Mount Panorama over the weekend as part of the annual Ford Falcon Tribute Cruise.

Raising money for MND Australia, an organisation that supports people living with motor neurone disease, the 2024 Ford Falcon Tribute Cruise saw a huge range of the blue oval’s finest cruising the famous Bathurst circuit before parking up behind the pit garages for a display.

Hundreds of Bathurst locals and car enthusiasts from around the area came to the circuit for free to enjoy the festivities and see some rare race and road cars.

Some of the cars that were part of the fleet included tribute cars to modern Supercars, as well as road going heroes like the XW and XY Falcon GTHO, the F6 Typhoon, modern and retro GT Cobras plus the Mad Max Highway Patrol Falcon.

The cars departed from Sydney’s west early on Saturday before arriving in Bathurst mid morning.

Steven Culbert, who promotes the event for the FPV Collective, said the event was a major success.

“It began with a bunch of people wanting to come for a drive to Mount Panorama,” he told The Western Advocate.

“Last year we raised $10,000 for Miracle Babies, and a lot of this was thanks to the help of local businesses.”
