All the information ahead of the Repco Bathurst 1000

The Mountain beckons for the Repco Supercars Championship as all eyes lead to the regional New South Wales town of Bathurst.

Australia’s oldest inland settlement, Bathurst has hosted the Bathurst 500/1000 since 1963 and it quickly grew to become the marquee race in this part of the world.

For 2026, the Repco Bathurst 1000 welcomes a new manufacturer in Toyota and one of the strongest fields to take on the race featuring six unchanged driver line-ups.

Walkinshaw TWG Racing and Brad Jones Racing spearhead Toyota’s return to the Mountain in the GR Supra, with the Optus Mobil 1 Racing entry proving the endurance capabilities by winning The Bend 500 for Chaz Mostert and Fabian Coulthard.

While Walkinshaw TWG Racing enjoyed a dream endurance debut with its new manufacturer partner, the opposite occurred for Red Bull Ampol Racing.

Following on from Broc Feeney’s success full defence of the Repco Sprint Cup, it was a calamitous The Bend 500 for Red Bull Ampol Racing’s first endurance race for Ford.

Defending Repco Bathurst 1000 winner Matt Payne has been in red hot form despite a desertion of luck towards the end of the Repco Sprint Cup and his new partnership with Will Davison proved solid in its first outing at The Bend.

Outside of these three teams, Erebus Motorsport enjoyed a bounce back at The Bend and rises to the occasion at these events, Team 18 has led the Chevrolet charge all season, while Tickford Racing is always a contender.

Repco Supercars Championship is featured on all four days of the event with six practice sessions, Friday Qualifying and the famed Saturday Top 10 Shootout.

Sunday’s race is scheduled to begin at 11:30am AEDT.

The Bathurst action will be broadcast live by Fox Sports and Kayo through its entirety, while Seven’s coverage begins on Friday and includes the race on Sunday.

Sky Sports will cover the action for New Zealand fans.
