Brad Jones Racing will make the switch to Toyota Supras for the 2026 Repco Supercars Championship after it was confirmed to be the Japanese marque’s second team.
The announcement confirms six Toyota Supras will be on the grid for next year, with BJR committed to running four entries joining homologation team Walkinshaw Andretti United.
Prior to the previous round of the Repco Supercars Championship at Taupo, news of BJR’s switch began to break after previous favourite to defect Team 18 was chosen to be General Motors’ homologation partner.
“We can put the final piece of the puzzle together,” said Toyota Australia’s marketing chief Sean Hanley.
“I’m pleased to welcome BJR as our team to join WAU. it’s such an exciting time, this gives us great coverage on the grid. It gives us six cars on the grid.”
It is believed no other teams will switch manufacturers leaving Ford with 10 entries, eight GM representatives and now six for Toyota.
It marks the third manufacturer for BJR since joining the Repco Supercars Championship in 2000. Ford was its chosen manufacturer, before making the switch to Holden/GM ahead of the 2008 season and now Toyota for next year.
