Red Bull Ampol Racing’s Broc Feeney has finished the final practice session fastest ahead of this evening’s Top 10 Shootout.
Feeney set the pace by achieving a 2m 05.587s time to only just shade Brodie Kostecki by 0.241s in an early win before the Top 10 Shootout where these two drivers are expected to battle for pole position.
Feeney and championship leader Kostecki were the only two drivers in the 2m 05s bracket at the end of the 60-minute session.
Kostecki’s Coca-Cola Racing by Erebus teammate Will Brown was third ahead of Monster Energy Racing’s Cameron Waters and Shane van Gisbergen in the second Red Bull Ampol Racing Chevrolet Camaro ZL1.

Anton De Pasquale continued his strong run for the Shell V-Power Racing Team in sixth ahead of James Golding in the Nulon Racing Camaro, R&J Batteries Racing’s Andre Heimgartner, Toyota Forklifts-supported Team 18 driver Scott Pye and Matt Payne in the lead Penrite Racing Mustang.
Seven of the Top 10 Shootout entries were inside the respective practice results, with Will Davison, Cameron Hill, David Reynolds, Chaz Mostert and Mark Winterbottom just outside.
A few drivers made small mistakes in the final practice session as Tony D’Alberto cut through The Chase and Thomas Randle went straight ahead at the Esses.
For 18 entries, this is the final running before tomorrow morning’s traditional warm up ahead of the Great Race.
Of course, the top 10 will return to the track for the Shootout, which has been a part of the Bathurst 1000 event since 1978.
