The Cash Converters Supercars ESeries concluded at Oran Park last night where Brodie Kostecki and Madison Down shared the title honours.
Kostecki sealed his dominating All Star Series campaign with victory at the long-departed New South Wales circuit, now accurately replicated on iRacing. Starting from pole, the Erebus Motorsport driver was never headed as he secured the win from Matt Stone Racing’s Reuben Goodall.
Goodall overhauled Goodall late to finish 3.2s behind Kostecki.
In the Pro Series title fight, third was enough for Down to seal Brad Jones Racing’s maiden Eserie crown as reigning champion Dayne Warren ended his up and down season on a high by taking victory from Tickford Racing’s Jordan Caruso.
Title rivals Jake Burton and Jarrad Filsell encountered drama during the event to rue themselves out of contention.
Burton’s race ended right at the start as he hit trouble entering the famous Oran Park crossover, before his event was further compounded by tangles with other competitors.
On the other hand, Filsell’s hopes diminished when he picked up two 5s penalties.
Down takes home the $10,000 winner’s purse.
