Reigning Repco Supercars champion Brodie Kostecki will make the switch to the Shell V-Power Racing Team and Ford for 2025.
In a continuation of the Supercars silly season, Kostecki will replace Anton De Pasquale at the legendary Dick Johnson Racing squad, joining Will Davison for next season.
The news was announced in conjunction with Erebus Motorsport, which named rising star Cooper Murray as Kostecki’s replacement.
Kostecki took a break from the sport at the start of his title defence and returned for the Repco Supercars Championship’s first trip to Taupo International Motorsport Park in New Zealand for Round 3.
Kostecki has already achieved six race wins, 11 pole positions and 23 podiums highlighted by his title winning campaign in 2023.
It’s been a tumultuous season for Erebus Motorsport as its major sponsor departed in addition to some minor partners prior to the season beginning.
Kostecki’s 2023 teammate Will Brown moved across to Red Bull Ampol Racing at the conclusion of that season and currently leads the standings.
“Brodie is one of the top drivers in the series and we’re excited to bring him on board the Shell V-Power Racing Team,” said team founder Dick Johnson AM.
“He’s an impressive young man and I’ve certainly got a soft spot for anyone who has as much mechanical sympathy and
understanding of the car as he does. With the combination of Will and Brodie, we look forward to chasing wins and returning to the top next season.”
“I am excited to join the Shell V-Power Racing Team, a team with such a rich history of success,” added Kostecki.
“This partnership represents a new chapter for me, and I look forward to working alongside Will and the entire team.”
