Will Brown takes provisional pole at Bathurst

Will Brown has taken provisional pole position ahead of tomorrow’s Top 10 Shootout and Sunday’s Repco Bathurst 1000.

Brown achieved a time of 2m 03.8989s to start last in tomorrow’s top 10 run off in his Erebus Motorsport Holden Commodore as he edged Shell V-Power Racing’s Anton De Pasquale by 0.0229s

Third was Chaz Mostert, continuing an unblemished record of remaining in the top three through each session.

Tim Slade was fourth in the Team Blanchard Racing Ford Mustang as pacesetter in the early sessions Cam Waters is fifth.

Brodie Kostecki made it two Erebus Motorsport Commodores in the shootout in seventh, while the remaining spots in the 10 were filled by champion-elect Shane van Gisbergen, Will Davison, Nick Percat and Jack Le Brocq.

Jamie Whincup will start his final Repco Bathurst 1000 as a primary driver from 11th.

Two practice sessions occur before the Top 10 Shootout at 5:05pm AEDT tomorrow.
