A new category for NASCARs will be added to the 2025 Repco Adelaide Motorsport Festival schedule.
Apparent growth in the emergence of the American stock cars in Australia has spurred organisers of the event on to create a specific category.
NASCARs are always spectacular at the Repco Adelaide Motorsport Festival and the growth from the historic community has been solid in the last few years following the height of the regulations during the 1990s alongside the Calder Park Thunderdome.
Among the NASCARs confirmed for the event is the NAPA Chevrolet SS bought to Australia three years ago for demonstration purposes. Originally built as a purpose-built NASCAR for the oval schedule by revered squad Hendrick Motorsport.
NASCAR adds to the Le Mans specific category announced by organisers late-last year, which is expected to feature Mazda’s winning 767B, Porsche and much more.
The 2025 Repco Adelaide Motorsport Festival will be held on March 8-9.
