Repco Bathurst 12 Hour entries complete test at Phillip Island

Many leading GT contenders have enjoyed a solid hit out at Phillip Island ahead of next month’s Repco Bathurst 12 Hour.

Craig Lowndes and Cam Waters were among the drivers gaining crucial experience ahead of Australia’s international long distance event. The duo will team up together alongside Thomas Randle in a Mercedes-AMG GT3 entered by Scott Taylor Motorsport and to be run by Ashley Seward Motorsport.

Featured in bare carbon, the Scott Taylor Motorsport Mercedes-AMG appears menacing although a new livery will be revealed prior to the Repco Bathurst 12 Hour.

Another Repco Bathurst 12 Hour entry featuring a Supercars flavour is the M Motorsport Mercedes-AMG GT3 to be driven by new Erebus Motorsport signing Jack Le Brocq, Glen Wood and car owner Justin McMillan.

Not only has M Motorsport gained the services of Le Brocq, but will also enjoy additional support from Erebus Motorsport across the event, a team that won the race back in 2013.

The striking chrome and blue Mercedes-AMG will be one hard to miss at the Mountain.

Valmont Racing was also in attendance as it prepares for a two-car attack on the Repco Bathurst 12 Hour, although its Audi R8 LMS GT3 Evo 2 to be shared by Marcel Zalloua, Sergio Pires, Luke Youlden and Brad Shiels was only one of those entries testing.

Last week Valmont Racing’s plans were announced and a colourful livery was revealed for its Audi marking another eye-catching Repco Bathurst 12 Hour entry.

Others in attendance included Fanatec GT World Challenge Australia powered by AWS entries including Audi Sport Customer Racing Australia in a pair of R8s and Nissan R35 GT-R GT3, as well as Mercedes-AMGs for Black Wolf Racing and Valmont Racing.

The entry list is soon to be released as the Repco Bathurst 12 Hour will be held on February 16-18
