Team 18 rookie Bayley Hall has led the way in its Wildcard Chevrolet Camaro after the opening co-driver session at The Bend 500.
Hall set a 1m 17.427s to top the timesheets ahead of Shell V-Power Racing Team’s Todd Hazelwood and the lead Red Bull Ampol Racing Mustang of Scott Pye, which were all within 0.126s.
Monster Castrol Racing’s Mark Winterbottom was fourth from the second Shell V-Power Racing Team Mustang of Tony D’Alberto.
Next up were the two Penrite Racing entries if Tim Slade and Will Davison, with Jack Perkins for Objective Racing heading the two Walkinshaw TWG Racing Toyota Supras of Fabian Coulthard and Jaxon Evans completing the top 10.
It was an impressive performance from Campbell Logan to be 11th on Supercars debut in the Tickford Racing Wildcard from Nash Morris, Bryce Fullwood, David Russell and Reuben Goodall.
Nick Percat on his Red Bull Ampol Racing debut was 16th, while others further back included Lee Holdsworth in 22nd driving the DEWALT Racing Chevrolet Camaro.
The final session of Friday at The Bend 500 is due to start at 3:40pm ACST/4:10pm AEST.
