A new livery will adorn the pair of Shell V-Power Racing Team Ford Mustangs at the Townsville 500.
The two Mustangs driven by 2023 champion Brodie Kostecki and rookie Rylan Gray will carry a playful nod to the biggest little troublemakers in Hollywood, the Minions.
Instead of its familiar red accents, the Shell V-Power Racing Team entries will carry ‘Minion’ yellow in honour of the exclusive Minion & Monsters Bag Buddy available at Shell Ready Express and OTR outlets around Australia.
The Minion & Monsters movie is currently in cinemas and there are eight bag buddies to collect as part of a ‘blind box’ format.
“It’s great to be able to partner with Shell Reddy Express and Shell OTR in such a fun promotion of such a globally popular phenomenon in the Minions,” said Shell V-Power Racing Team CEO Megan Forster.
“Yellow has been a winning colour for us in the past, and the fan comments under a recent social media post from Shell Australia reminded us of just how well-received our yellow wildcard entry was at Bathurst in 2023.
“Keep your eyes peeled for some neat Minions-themed touches trackside and on our social media channels over the weekend.”
Viva Energy continues to be a strong partner of Dick Johnson Racing and is excited it can behind this special offer.
“Working alongside our long-standing partner Dick Johnson Racing, we’re excited to bring this fun Minions campaign to life for fans and customers,” said Viva Energy’s general manager of marketing and customer service Pippa O’Regan.
“The team’s yellow Townsville livery provides the perfect platform to celebrate our exclusive Minions & Monsters Bag Buddies collection and the latest Minions movie release, creating a memorable experience both at the track and across our Shell Reddy Express and OTR network.
“We can’t wait to see fans embrace the campaign and get involved in the fun.”
Both yellow Shell V-Power Racing Team will debut at the Track to Town prior to the Townsville 500 on July 10-12.
