The Repco Adelaide Motorsport Festival welcomes an influx of Formula 1 personalities this year due to its close proximity to the Australian Grand Prix, but the best of Australia is still attracted to attend from both four and two-wheel racing.
The Repco Garage highlights the personalities to see in Adelaide.
Guenther Steiner
Need we say more? Guenther Steiner’s personality rose courtesy of the Drive to Survive Netflix series as leader of the Haas F1 Grand Prix team. Boasting a more than 20-year history in Formula 1, Steiner previous to this worked in the World Rally Championship with Ford just as it recruited Colin McRae and Carlos Sainz.
Valtteri Bottas
A popular guest last year, Valtteri Bottas will again drive a variety of entries including an ex-Larry Perkins Holden VK Commodore Group A and the rare Brabham BT62. An honorary Australian thanks to his social media profile, Bottas is a popular returnee.
Craig Lowndes
Still revered to this day more than five years after his full-time retirement, Craig Lowndes will experience a number of different machines including a Formula 1 car across the Repco Adelaide Motorsport Festival.
Damon Hill
The 1996 Formula 1 World Drivers’ Championship winner is now a respected pit lane pundit and will be an interesting guest in the marquee on Sunday.
Liam Lawson
Following an impressive cameo in Formula 1 last year filling in for an injured Daniel Ricciardo, New Zealander Liam Lawson will be a guest and will be the behind the wheel of a marque emerging from the same country, a Rodin.
The Repco Adelaide Motorsport Festival is this weekend on March 16-17
