Continuing its great start to the season Coca-Cola Racing by Erebus as Will Brown scored pole for Race 8 of the Repco Supercars Championship in Perth, while Broc Feeney scored another for the young guns for the final event of the weekend.

Brown set a 54.245s to pip former teammate David Reynolds in the Penrite Racing Ford Mustang by 0.040s as Shell V-Power Racing Team’s Anton De Pasquale displayed a form reversal to be third.

Championship leader Brodie Kostecki was fourth, just 0.162s behind teammate Brown, with veteran James Courtney continuing his consistent qualifying form to complete the top five in the Snowy River Racing Ford Mustang.

Chaz Mostert was another demonstrating improvement from Saturday, placing sixth in the Optus Mobil 1 Racing Ford Mustang ahead of the second Shell V-Power Racing Team entry of Will Davison, Rookie Matt Payne for Penrite Racing, yesterday’s race winner Shane van Gisbergen and Tim Slade in the lead Nulon Racing Camaro.

Despite missing the podium in Race 7, Todd Hazelwood starts 11th for Blanchard Racing Team as Cameron Waters again struggled to be 15th in the Monster Energy Racing Mustang ahead of Nick Percat for NTI Optus 1 Racing and Thomas Randle’s Castrol Racing Ford.

Feeney made a mistake and was 21st ahead of Nulon Racing’s James Golding.

Recovering well in Race 9 qualifying, Feeney set a 54.182 to be the fastest driver of the weekend as Kostecki was 0.082s behind and Brown again was on form in third.

Reynolds will start fourth ahead of Davison, Slade, Mostert, Randle, Waters and Percat after his power steering failed.

Rookie Cameron Hill in the Truck Assist Racing Camaro qualified his best in 12th, as Hazelwood, Courtney, Payne, De Pasquale, Golding and van Gisbergen all missed the top 10, the latter starting 21st.

Race 8 will commence at 11:45am AWST or 1:45 AEST.
